In all the sports the body perspires needing to re-balance its internal temperature. In hot weather and in the case of strenuous exercise, as much as 2 litres of perspiration can be produced in an hour. However, also in winter, it is normal for the body to produce up to 1 litre of perspiration in an hour during intense physical activity. Therefore the need for technical clothing that can rapidly remove the excess of perspiration and keep the skin dry and with a constant temperature.

THE FIBRE

Polypropylene is the lightest fibre: thanks to its hollow cavities, D.Fens® is even lighter. Thanks to the air contained in its cavities D.Fens® fibre, besides being more thermal than wool, is also the most thermal among all the synthetic fibres. D.Fens® fibre does not absorb humidity (only 0.05%) and therefore rapidly expels the perspiration to the outer layers.

Experts know that it is not the weight that determines thermal insulation but what makes the difference is the air trapped by the structure of the materials. More air means more insulation and vice versa. In the case of perspiration, thermal properties must be combined to the ability to expel it quickly, otherwise wet skin will remain cold for too long. We must also take into account the environmental factors, the athlete had to cope with, which could have a considerable effect on the performance. A NEW ERA BEGINS
A new era begins for motocross wear. The leading producer of technical sports underwear, CH3, has signed a business agreement for the use of the new and revolutionary fibre XLA™ which, unlike conventional polyurethane elastomers, is an olefinic-based elastic fibre, which is the same polymer forming the D.FENS® fibre (hollow polypropylene). Therefore, it has the same properties of being extremely light, does not absorb perspiration, is non-allergenic, antibacterial and quick drying.
